Maritime beaconing of the « New Port of Safi »
IN 2019, OSS won the call for tenders and thus obtained the contract launched by DPETLE for the supply and installation of the buoyage system at the New Port of Safi. These MSE (Maritime Signalling Equipment) represented 6 pylons and 15 floating buoys.
The main function of this Port is to supply coal to SAFIEC’s new power plant.
The installed MSE are all branded MOBILIS, official partner of OSS since 1993.
The challenges
- Set up all the MSEs before the winter swells.
- Moisten several buoys per day in order to set up the installation in record time.
- Adapt all the supports to the configurations of the dikes that were still under construction.
The outcome
These equipment made it possible the guidance of the very first coal ship in the harbor in February 2020.
